AppDynamics Selects ScaleBase for Database Scalability and Management

Cloud Application Management Provider Ensures Application Availability

BOSTON, MA. May 15, 2012 — ScaleBase, the database scalability company, announced today that AppDynamics has selected its Data Traffic Manager to help the company manage and scale its complex database environment.

AppDynamics works in very large customer environments to provide them deep visibility into their mission critical applications, even in high-volume production. The company’s customer base touches a variety of key industries including eCommerce, entertainment, media, gaming, government, education and many more.

The ScaleBase Data Traffic Manager allows AppDynamics to provide the highest possible service level agreements (SLAs) for its data intensive product to customers by providing dynamic, real-time database elasticity. The solution also gives AppDynamics visibility across its complex application and database infrastructure, with a single point of management and control. To learn more about the solution, please request a copy of the case study here.

“We’re setting the standard for a new kind of application performance management solution–one specifically designed for the new environments of today, with more moving parts, a higher rate-of-change and a faster growing customer base,” said Boris Livshutz, Server Data Lead for AppDynamics. “These new environments carry with them a new level complexity – with ScaleBase we are able to simplify these environments while seamlessly scaling them.”

ScaleBase eliminates complexity from organization’s application and database infrastructure by enabling a fast and efficient response to dynamic business requirements. The company’s Data Traffic Manager is middleware that delivers real-time database elasticity that increases database availability without requiring any changes to existing infrastructure. ScaleBase is working with businesses in a wide variety of industries where database elasticity and availability are critical to the success of the business, including large enterprises, SaaS providers, online gaming, digital media providers and social networks.

“We’re changing the way that businesses think about databases,” said Doron Levari, founder and CEO of ScaleBase. “The industry is at a critical turning point and margins for database failures are razor thin. ScaleBase has created a platform that lets businesses focus on the development of their own innovative solutions rather than managing and purchasing database infrastructure.”
