Industry’s First Unified Database Scalability & Replication Solution Now Available for MySQL Environments

PERCONA LIVE – NEW YORK – October 1, 2012 — ScaleBase, the company enabling next generation applications that require big data transactional processing, and Codership, the market leader in synchronous multi-master replication, are teaming up to deliver the industry’s first unified database scalability and replication solution. Translation: Ultimate database and application performance – with the highest availability and data durability available today.

“Downtime and data loss are damaging, costly, and no longer acceptable now that they’re avoidable,” said Doron Levari, founder and CEO of ScaleBase.  “By bringing together these two best-of-breed database solutions, our customers can quickly and effectively scale and strengthen database performance to meet their customers’ ever-increasing demands.”

This partnership combines the functionalities of ScaleBase’s Data Traffic Manager with Codership’s Galera Cluster for MySQL to:

  • simplify and automate the difficult and often manual process of moving and managing data
  • guarantee database continuity, and compliance with SLAs
  • ensure business-critical apps are up-and-running, 24/7
  • provide a unified view of all data, regardless of location

“Database scalability and replication are critical to business continuity,” said Seppo Jaakola, CEO of Codership. “Our joint customers rely on us for application availability, reliability, durability and overall database performance.”
